The ceramic process is a creative path where the rhythm is determined by the inherent nature of the elements: earth, air, water, fire.
When we work with earth, time stretches and slows down. Water is the ally of earth: it makes it fertile, penetrable and maliable. In the drying stage water evaporates back into the air. Finally, it will be fire that will transform clay into ceramic.
Through this process I have learned to listen with my heart and to see with my hands.
Nature is not technical , it is creative. From this, I have learnt to create ceramics.
In my throwing and hand building classes I invite students of all levels to embark on this creative journey and to discover this ancient art.
